Lightweight formulas need direct contact with the skin; layered over a cream, they sit on the surface and lose most of their benefit.

Balances and preps the skin. Apply to slightly damp skin.

03 · Serum(s)

Thinnest to thickest. Vitamin C · PDRN / polynucleotides · peptides · growth factors · hyaluronic acid · niacinamide.

04 · Moisturizer

Seals in hydration and supports the skin barrier.

05 · SPF 30+

Every single day, rain or shine. Reapply every 2 hours in the sun.

01 · Cleanser

Removes SPF, makeup and pollution. Double cleanse if you wore makeup.

02 · Serum or night active

Your regular serum, or the active scheduled for that night (see your week below). Vitamin C can be used at night, but never on the same night as a retinoid.

03 · Moisturizer

On retinoid nights (tretinoin, TOTY), use Cicaplast: if your skin is very sensitive, use the sandwich method (Cicaplast, let dry, thin layer of the active, let dry, Cicaplast); if it's less sensitive, apply a thin layer of the active, let it dry, then Cicaplast.

Using actives safely

Retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), vitamin C, niacinamide, azelaic acid, kojic acid and succinic acid are powerful and highly effective, but they can irritate the skin, especially when combined.

🌿

Retinoids

1 night / week to start2 nights if very well tolerated

Tretinoin · retinal (retinaldehyde) · retinol · adapalene. Tretinoin, retinol, TOTY Reversa and TOTY Transforma: start at one night a week; once your skin tolerates it very well, you can move to two nights a week. Never on the same night as vitamin C. Use a pea-sized amount for the whole face. Avoid the eye area, the sides of the nose and the corners of the mouth.

  • Very sensitive skin · sandwich method: 1) Apply Cicaplast and let it dry. 2) Apply a thin layer of the product and let it dry. 3) Seal again with Cicaplast.
  • Less sensitive skin: apply a thin layer at night, let it dry, then apply Cicaplast.

Acids / exfoliants

1–2 nights / week

Glycolic · lactic · mandelic (AHA) · salicylic (BHA) · benzoyl peroxide. Use one acid at a time; never stack them on the same night.

⚠️ BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT Stop 5–7 days before any peel, laser or microneedling appointment.
🚫 Never use a retinoid and an acid on the same night: alternate them on separate nights.

If you plan to use more than one active or already use prescription products, we will tell you which can be layered and which should be alternated on separate nights.

Burning, peeling or irritation

Pause actives for 3–5 nights and use only cleanser and moisturizer. If it doesn't improve, contact us.

SPF is not optional

Actives increase sun sensitivity. Wear sunscreen every day.

RULE 5 · PREGNANCY

Pregnant or breastfeeding: no retinoids

Check with us before any change, and tell us if you use prescription skin medication.

Vitamin C: never with retinol

You can use vitamin C morning and night, but never on the same night as tretinoin, retinol, Reversa or Transforma: they neutralize each other. Use it on your basic nights.

Most liquid to thickest

Order matters: a liquid product layered over a cream can't absorb and loses its effect.
